Olympics & Peacock

Post by moldyoldie » Sun Jul 28, 2024 12:16 pm

It isn't bad enough I can't watch the Tigers on Comcast without subscribing to an app, but having to subscribe to Peacock to watch extended Olympics coverage is going beyond the pale!
Thank goodness I'm able to get CBC out of Windsor.

I can see why folks are cutting the cord in record numbers

A friend of mine agrees with you; he said he's sorry he didn't do it long ago! And yes, I'd say it's two words. :razz

I would say the exact same thing.

Saving me at least 75 bucks a month. Picture quality is improved. One remote.
No cable box, which makes my wife extremely happy. Unlimited DVR.

How the hell are you getting CBC? Since the switch to digital, they don’t get in here at all.

I have YouTube TV as well. It's great. In terms of local, I do miss having CBET 9 from Windsor, and I actually would get that on Comcast. But, that's how it goes.

Nice. Yeah, I couldn’t afford $209 any more.

So you have no problem paying some outrageous monthly fee for the cord, but bitching about the idea of spending $7.99/month for Peacock.

At this point in my life, I like simplicity, reliability, and no headaches. One bill from Comcast covers all three. I'm with them for cable, Internet, landline and cell phone
Outside of one of those oddball Tigers telecasts in past years, I've never watched Peacock. I'm a big YouTube viewer, however. I would definitely look into their TV service.

Drop the landline and cable, and switch to YouTubeTV. You will save a bundle and not miss either of them.

I'll miss Bloomberg, CBC, and my nightly Star Trek fix on H&I. :razz
