Congrats to um. I still have issues with the NCAA choosing the regional to be played at such a rinky dink facility. And I'll never understand why they decided to not split up 4 BT teams in each regional.

Thanks for the congrats, although I'm sure U-M will shit the bed in the Frozen Four like they normally do.
Completely agree regarding the venue situation. That regional should've been played in Toledo or Grand Rapids, not a dinky ice rink in St. Louis.

DTE Energy paid $752 million in dividends to its shareholders last fiscal year. Remember that the next time they ask the MPSC to approve rate hikes.

The regional is in Toledo next year. Bowling Green is the host school.

Re: MSU vs. UM hockey this weekend
regional sites are bid on, not "assigned", and in the midwest, grand rapids, Toledo, fort Wayne, and a bunch of other venues have steered clear of this money losing event. last couple of years the "midwest" regional was in allentown PA because no place in what we would call the midwest put in a bid
these games should be played at the home rink of the higher seed.
will be interesting to see how Toledo does next year

Good info; thanks.
Perhaps this will be a wake-up call to the NCAA to make the economics of hosting such a tournament less one-sided.

Re: MSU vs. UM hockey this weekend
The way the NCAA has dealt with hockey has always been short sighted, not that the NCAA can do anything right. Spartans were in the Frozen Four about 20 years ago and it happened to be in Anaheim, so I obviously went. There was NOBODY at those games. 18,000 seats and maybe 2000 people.

C'mon now, all sorts of SoCal residents care about college hockey teams from schools located 2000 to 3000 miles away. LOL

Actually, Arizona State just missed making the NCAA's. They were ranked higher than OSU, PSU, ND, etc.
