The Pistons just gave up 74 points in the first half. :rolleyes So much for improving defense.

Yeah, yeah, it's just a pre-season game.

(Edit)
Would you believe the Pistons have come all the way back to take the lead?!?!

And win?!?!

This could be the Pistons only win in Canada.

The game was played in Montreal.

Detroit has an NBA team? 😜

Next preseason game isn't until this coming Thursday - against OKC.

Hopefully Cade's vaginal aches will subside by then so he can actually be in the lineup for the game.

Ahhhhhhh...another Pistons season with delusions of mediocrity. Think the team can get 40 wins this season?

Not a chance in hell. They'll probably win about 30 games.

This should be the last year for Killian Hayes and James Wiseman. The Pistons announced Monday they aren't extending their contracts.

Pistons lose the season opener 103-102 in Miami.

Played poorly in the first half, then had a 27-9 late run to make it competive. They were down 94-75.

All the early turnovers cost them the game. 15 turnovers in the first half. Only two after halftime.

They seem to have the ability to come back from some large deficits...

Wiseman didn't play in the opener.

Hayes started with Bogdanovic out.

I want to see less Ausar Thompson and more Marcus Sasser next game. Sasser scored 8 points on 75 percent shooting in just 10 minutes and grabbed a couple boards and contributed an assist.

Thompson to his credit did have 5 blocks and 7 boards, but he got away with contact on at least 2 of those blocks. He struggled to score, though, shooting a putrid 1 of 7 from the field. He also committed 2 turnovers.

Joe Harris stunk. 12 minutes with 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists and 0 blocks. An awful signing, perhaps?

Cunningham had a great game; too bad he couldn't sink what would've been a game winning shot after a furious comeback in the 4th.

Duren also had a great game, with 17 points and 14 boards.

Defensively, Pistons looked decent last night. Pistons would've won that game had they not committed so many turnovers in the 1st half.

Ausar Thompson looked great on defense last night, especially in the 4th.

This Pistons team in this very young season appears to be showing more chemistry and more grittiness than last year's team. If that trend continues, it will be a damning indictment against Dwane "promoted to the front office yet no one knows what my new job title is" Casey.

The Hornets made it a 3 or 4 point game with about 5 minutes to play in the 4th. Instead of crapping their pants, the Pistons laid the hammer down and ultimately prevailed by 12.

I see Wiseman didn't show up in the box score again, but Bagley had 14 points and four rebounds in 13 minutes!

Wiseman did not play last night. Fine by me. :)

Harris played and had only 2 points, 1 assist and 0 boards in 11 minutes of action.

They need to send Hayes, Wiseman and Harris packing at either the trade deadline or this coming off season.

They should consider dumping Bogdanovic, too. He is puke garbage on defense. His injury is perhaps a blessing in disguise. Thompson is getting quality minutes at the 3 spot and despite being a rookie is clearly a better defender. Thompson is better utilized as a 3 than a 2.

I criticized Bagley harshly after last season. As a ~15 minutes a night guy so far, he's doing alright. (Dipshit Casey probably would've played him 28 or 30 minutes each of the first two games at the expense of Duren's minutes.)

George Blaha evidently picked working the lame Spartans' football game over calling the Pistons home opener tonight.
