Duren was a beast tonight!!! WOW. He looked like an all-star on both ends.

Pistons guards couldn't defend Zach Lavine worth a crap; he scored 51. Remarkable game for him because he was terrible against Toronto and OKC earlier in the week. Didn't matter, though, as the Pistons won comfortably.

Stewart, Burks and Cunningham also had very good games in front of a raucous opening night home crowd.

This Pistons team was exciting to watch tonight. I hope that continues.

The way the Pistons finished in the last four minutes of the fourth quarter was terrific.

Edit - Thompson had a good night by rookie standards; 9 points and 12 boards.

Bagley played 15 minutes and had another quality outing with 11 points on 5 of 8 shooting, 6 boards and 0 turnovers.

James Wiseman saw no action yet again.

Damn. Lions, Red Wings and Pistons all with winning records. It's early but that's still a rare feat.

I hope the Wings can get back on track after a rough week. I won't hold tonight's loss against them; the Bruins are one of the best teams in the NHL.

Not gonna lie - I'm worried, too, about the Lions given their injury issues.

If the Lions finish with 10 wins, I'll be shocked. I keep saying if they give me something I haven't seen, I'll buy in. Gimme 12-5. A first round bye. Something.

The Pistons have looked good in their first 3 games and finally beating the Bulls and ending a 15 game losing streak. More Natalie Kerwin on the sidelines please always like when she is doing sideline duty surprised she isn't on Big10 Network as a sideline reporter.

More of her and less of Johnny Kane (in any capacity) would be nice!

Cade Cunningham with 5 fucking turnovers on the night already. He's got to clean up that shit.

Pistons have lost the last 4, and already sit at 2-5.

Next two are against Golden State and Milwaukee.

Cunningham has more turnovers per game than any other NBA player right now. That is chilling.

Time to use Hayes sparingly and devote more playing time to Sasser.

Cunningham had 5 turnovers (albeit mitigated by 2 steals to his name) and was 1 of 6 from 3-pt range after being 0-6 the previous game.

The injury bug is really hurting the Pistons. They were without both Duren and Burks. They will win very few games as long as those guys are both unavailable.

Ivey (illness) and of course, Bogdanovic, were also unavailable.

Wiseman in limited minutes (11 minutes) contributed 3 rebounds and nothing else.

It will take a miracle to avoid a blowout against Milwaukee tomorrow night.

Not a blowout, Milwaukee 120, Pistons 118,

It was Pistons 95, Bucks 90 after 3.

Pistons are 2-7. It looks like another season done before Thanksgiving.

Ejection of Giannis from the game in the early 3rd quarter is the primary reason the score was as close as it was.

Cunningham scored 33 points but shot only 2 of 8 from 3 point range.

Check out the +/- ratios game by game. The point deficit for the Pistons is worse than the final score point deficit in most instances when Cunningham is in the game, sometimes by a significant margin. For example, last night, his +/- was -8, yet the Pistons lost by only 2. Now, there are a number of dynamics that affect that result, but nonetheless that stat caught my eye.

He committed 5 turnovers last night. The scary thing is - that's not a horrible night for him.

Marcus Sasser is looking increasingly like a steal for being picked 25th overall. 26 points in 29 minutes, grabbed several boards, and credited with 2 steals. With Ivey injured, Sasser's playing time has been extensive of late.

Milwaukee taking many more trips to the FT line, the Pistons 3 point shooting woes, and Milwaukee winning the turnover battle are to blame for the loss. The Pistons did out rebound Milwaukee by a sizable margin (no Giannis for most of the second half helped).

Pistons are 2-9, sitting at the bottom of the eastern conference.
