Re: Detroit Pistons 2023-24
Welp, Monty's replacement in Phoenix only lasted a season. Frank Vogel was fired earlier this week and is reportedly being replaced by Mike Budenholzer (whose Milwaukee team ironically defeated the Suns to win an NBA title in 2021).
Perhaps coaching wasn't the issue a year ago in Milwaukee. They lost in the first round of the playoffs yet again this year, and that happened after adding Damian Lillard at PG (who I've long thought as being overrated).

DTE Energy paid $752 million in dividends to its shareholders last fiscal year. Remember that the next time they ask the MPSC to approve rate hikes.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2023-24
Pistons were denied permission by the Bucks to interview Jon Horst for the POBO gig.
Horst evidently will remain Milwaukee's GM.
Tyrese Haliburton scored 35 points and added 7 assists last night. Weaver thought an unproven 17 year old from France was the safer draft pick for a guard. Fuck Troy Weaver six ways to Sunday for not drafting Haliburton!!

Pistons got screwed in today's draft lottery, just like last year. They'll be picking fifth.
Top four have yet to be announced. My money is on the Spurs winning the lottery today.

Good grief - The Hawks with a minuscule 3% chance of landing the #1 pick won the draft lottery seconds ago.
The Spurs will pick fourth.
Houston also did very well in the lottery (relative to odds) and will make the third selection.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2023-24
The odds are awful and not fair. Pistons win 31 games the last two seasons combined picks 5th, and a team that won 36 games this season and made the play-in tourney will be picking first.
The censorship king from out of state.

I agree; the way the lottery works today sucks. The prior format was much better.
In my view, the worst team should get 14 balls, the second worst 13 balls, and so on. The least crappy team in the lottery should receive a single ball.

With a bonus ball for each time you were the worst team and didn't get to pick first over the last 3 years.

Lions' winning percentage with Matt Millen as GM: .270
Lions' winning percentage with Bob Quinn as GM: .420 (significantly worse, though, when removing the first two years under his reign where Jim Caldwell was head coach.)
Pistons' winning percentage with Troy Weaver as GM: .233
