NBA playoffs

The Celtics subjected the Sixers to an absolute best-down in the second half of today's contest. The Sixers couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, and their defensive efforts were futile.

I predict Doc Rivers will be shitcanned within the next 72 hours.

I disagree with a lot of your posts but I gotta say you nailed that one about Doc. :lol

Wasn't a bold prediction on my part. He's been on the hot seat in Philly before. It was obvious the collapse in game 7 in Boston was going to be the last straw.

Lebron is 1 of 20 from 3-pt range in the 4th quarter in the postseason this year. 😂

He launched three bricks in a row at a critical juncture of the 4th quarter last night.

Any guesses on the ratings for the Denver-Miami final? I'll say 59.7. As in total people watching.

Miami will attract a crowd presumably… maybe not Denver as much and I’m speaking on geography not the teams. It’s a change of pace from LA or some other perennial so that’s good.

I actually look forward to a Miami - Denver series.

Holy crap - last night's ending is excruciatingly painful if you are a Miami heat fan. Caleb Martin should've rushed to the basket for the potential rebound after Marcus Smart's near game winner. Instead he just stood in the paint, looking away from the basket. That in & of itself is ironic since Martin had a great performance otherwise, with 21 points and 15 boards. Derrick White of Boston was able to rush to the basket from what seemed like a mile away nearly unimpeded (Duncan Robinson tried to give chase unsuccessfully) for the stick back buzzer beater with 0.1 seconds to play.

For Miami to bounce back from such a demoralizing loss will take a near miracle, in my opinion.

I agree 100% with MW. Despise the Celtics with every fiber of my being. No way they lose this game.

Betting 280 to win 100 on the ML.

Jayson Tatum turning his left ankle in the first 30 seconds of the game changed the complexion of the game. *That* was the near miracle Miami needed! Tatum had averaged 32 or 33 points per game over the prior ten games; he scored only 14 last night.

Also, that was a truly terrible job of coaching by Joe Mazzulla! Why did he keep letting his players jack up 3-balls when everyone was struggling from long range? More dribble penetration would've been nice. The TNT crew, rightfully, was critical of Mazzulla during the post-game show. Shaq said he should've told his players "the next guy who shoots a contested three is going to get punched in the face."

The Celtics had no answer for Caleb Martin, and in the 4th quarter last night, the Celtics looked exhausted and were completely ineffective defensively.

Glad that the Celtics are out should've ended sooner at least the Heat weren't the Yankees in 2004 and losing to the Red Sox and blowing a 3-0 lead. Nuggets win in 6 games over the Heat.

Nice to see an old ABA team win its first NBA championship. I grew up rooting for the Indiana Pacers in their glory years in the ABA in the early 1970s. Maybe someday they will win an NBA championship.
