When will Dwane Casey be shown the door???

Isaiah Stewart and Saddiq Bey look no better now than during their rookie seasons, Killian Hayes' production remains bleh (he has played better the past couple days - but hardly deserving of #7 overall draft pick status), and team frequently plays with a lack of discipline - committing senseless turnovers, committing stupid fouls, and playing sluggish defense all too often.

The lapdog media in this town claimed one of Casey's strong suits is development of young talent. Who the f*ck has he molded into a good player when comparing rookie season to later seasons during his 5+ years here?

The guy should be coaching in the G-league or in some mid-level collegiate conference somewhere.

If the Pistons as a team don't begin to show signs of a turnaround by the All Star break, he needs to be shitcanned.

That's a good question. I just wonder if either the first-time GM or the absentee owner have the backbone to do it anytime soon. At this point, he's probably seen as a caretaker until somebody better becomes available.

I feel like part of the reason why Detroit pro teams are mired in mediocrity is because people keep showing up to games and keep supporting the teams to where they're still making a profit, so ownership is like "Well why do we need to invest in winning teams and coaches if we're still turning a profit?"

That said: Detroit deserves better. There's no reason the Pistons can't field a team just as solid and successful as the '04 championship team. There's no reason the Red Wings can't regain their former glory. There's no reason the Tigers can't have a team as good as the '06 team. There's not reason the Lions can't overcome their perpetual mediocrity.

Their owners just have to be willing to spend the money to attract and hire the coaches and players necessary to make it happen, and I would not be surprised at all if they're like "why spend that money when we're already profitable?"

It's early, but the Wings are in second place in the toughest division in hockey.

Wings definitely look a helluva lot more competitive than either the Pistons or Lions.

Pistons now 3 and 14 after losing to the lowly Lakers on the road. Cunningham did not play because he's a pussy who cannot play thru pain evidently. Ditto Isaiah Stewart.

I may need to eat my words regarding Cunningham. Either the Pistons medical staff is somewhat clueless or the team initially misled all of us. Cunningham reportedly saw a specialist in L.A., he has a hairline fracture, and he may require surgery, which would cause him to miss many weeks of action.

It is frequently injuries to star players, such as this, that makes second stringers step up and take on more weight for the club.
