They will. I love the Astros, but JV chokes in the World Series.

According to this article, there's good reason to root for Houston...

Another good reason is that the Phillies are "pretenders" who just happened to get hot at the right time. Bah!

So baseball is a game you can be 87-75 and be a crap team not deserving of playoffs? Shoulda won 100 you say?

I get that they were 3rd in their division but they aren’t a bad team.

and they wouldn't be the first team to win the Series with that kind of record anyway. I don't need to tell a board full of mostly Tigers fans about the '87 Twins or '06 Cardinals.

Two marvelous examples of what I'm talking about! :hat

They were third in a division with the Braves and Mets as 100 game winners. They deserve to be there.

Who's watching baseball when real sports are happening?

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

We get it. You hate baseball. Stay out of our thread. Why are you so triggered by it?

Why are you so triggered everytime I say baseball sucks?

Because it contributes nothing to the thread and is minor league trolling. Our game is still this nation’s pastime. And many of us played so it’s important to us.

I don’t rip you for your Bucs posts even though I am not a fan.

He's such a douchebag. I'm not interested in radio in the UP, so I don't go on that board to comment. Not Matt. If he doesn't like something, nobody should.

Good point, and you can throw in the 1973 Mets. But there's probably more pressure to stay on top of a division than to squeak in as a wild card.
