Castoff Baker Mayfield just took a shit on the Lions’ draft chances with the LA Rams’ win over Vegas. LOL. Still cursed.

Seriously, did you really expect the Rams to lose out for the express purpose of preserving draft position for the Lions? :rolleyes Do you really think it's a continuation of "the curse"? :rolleyes :rolleyes

I just watched the replay of the game. That unsportsman-like penalty on Tillery for knocking the ball out of Mayfield's hands was a bullshit call. Still, driving 98 yards with under two minutes and no timeouts was impressive. Just know the refs had a big hand in it.

Even if the Rams win out, they'll be sub-.500 and we'd get a mid first-rounder. I'll take it. But I'll say it over and over, fuck draft position, that's for losers. Just win, baby! :smokin

The irony of you using a Raider mantra after that performance.

I don’t think you realize how unprecedented it is to see a #3 QB drive 98 yards after learning a playbook for 3 days.

This is proof of the curse. The Lions will never win until the Fords sell.

Referring to Mayfield as a #3 quarterback is a stretch and a half. :rolleyes As I said, while impressive, that game-winning 98 yard drive was pushed along by a couple funky penalty calls, especially that unsportsman-like flag on Tillery. Sure, it was a dumb penalty, but still....

If we're going to start thinking other team's games are part of "the curse", why even bring up the Fords?

The Lions will win 8-9 games minimum.
Feeling pretty good about this prediction...

Definitely within reach now. It was a good win against a great team.

Lions will probably miss the playoffs by one game, or conversely, they'll shit the bed these final four games and lose at least 3 of 'em.

I would love nothing more than for them to make the postseason and actually win a playoff game.

Firing their defensive backs coach at the end of October was clearly a smart move.

The most satisfying part of this season is seeing a good run game develop.

You should! :smokin

I was afraid the refs would take over this game, but they managed to restrain themselves in the second half. Again, great play-calling and Goff was superb.

Detroit's playoff odds have grown to 21% to make it (would have fallen to 2% if they had lost today). Will change a few points either way depending on the 49ers and Seahawks each winning or losing.

They're better than 90% to make it in if they manage to win out. And given their remaining schedule, that certainly is a possibility.

With three of their remaining four games on the road, I have my doubts about winning out. Frankly, I'm not thinking playoffs this season, but it'll no doubt be an event to savor in this town.

They will win their next three and head into the last week of the season knowing a win make them a playoff team. And then lose to the Packers.

If the Bucs and Panthers both win today, the Lions would actually still have better than a 50-50 chance of getting in even with one more loss.

You might go 1-1 with that today. I wouldn't mind if Bowles and Leftwich we're both ejected somewhere between Santa Clara and Tampa...

🤣

So true. I was obviously wrong about the Lions "giving up" by trading him.

Cousins threw for over 400 yards yet his team still lost by 11 points. That usually is something only the Lions could do!
