If I have to be the kiss of death for a team, I might as well say LETS GO DUKE!!!

Frustrating loss, because Michigan's game plan was perfect. The missed lay ups and missed free throws killed 'em.

It's going to be interesting to see who returns. This team could be pretty consistently good next year.

I'm cheering for Arizona at this point, simply because I will be in Arizona for the NC game.
Safe travels.
Thanks! My dad and his wife bought a place down there and are apparently now snowbirds.
My parents wanted to get a place in Florida(as do most older conservatives), but the losses in the stock market are keeping them here.
How the hell did they lose money in the stock market?

Where in Arizona, Matt?

After my bracket went up in flames last week, I put $9 at 200-to-1 odds on St. Pete's to win it all. Happily one step closer to that being a reality. I've watched all 3 of their games - they can compete with anybody.

I LOVE that team....eliminate Purfuckingdue!!!

I think that's it for them though...they won't fond a dumber coach than Painter any more. Hope I'm wrong.

GO PEACOCKS!!!

They are in NJ. Hell no.

Michigan and Purdue say hi.
And now we can say bye and bye. Go Peacocks!

The Purdue loss is beyond a gag job, even for a tournament choker like Matt Painter.

Look at that team...Ivey is a top 5 pick. Williams was an all American last year. Edy is insanely H***. The dude with the German name can shoot the lights out. Hunter is a damn good PG. Gillis is nails. No reason this team wasn't final four. If Painter had ever made one or ever over achieved maybe we call this a fluke. But it wasn't. This was a Matt Painter special. He had 5 days to prepare to play this team. One of the biggest gags I NCAA history.

Easily one of the biggest tournament upsets ever.

My high school alma mater's gymnasium seats more people than St. Pete's! LOL

Give St. Pete's some credit, though. Team missed only two (!!!) free throws the whole game and played with incredible defensive intensity. 19 of 21 from the FT line.

Painter is following in Combover Gene's footsteps. Most of the time, his teams underachieved in the tournament.

Every time, his teams underachieved in the tournament.

The Michigan women are in the elite eight. Naz Hillmon is a special talent.

At least Gene finally ditched the combover after he retired.

I said "most" because Purdue did make it to the elite eight on two occasions during his tenure (out of 17 total tournament appearances).
