Geez -- they had just put a ton of money into the South Course to try and get some major championships back.

Glad to hear they think everyone got out safely.

Maybe if they rebuild and modernize the place, they will get some decent PGA events.

Looks like some guys torched the place while they were putting up some flashing.

Curious though... they had no clue they started this?

Wow. Looking at the video, they knew -- but apparently didn't call for help. Giving firefighters an extra 5 minutes to respond might have made a big difference. Or not.

The battle between insurance companies will be interesting.

With replacement cost at $80 million I doubt the maintenance company insurance coverage is more than one or two million. Facilities like this have an umbrella policy that cover just about every stupid situation. I'm sure the OHCC insurance company will be going after that maintenance company but there's not much to get.

It's interesting the article quotes fire officials as saying it's not anyone's fault. If officials stand by that once the investigation concludes, I'm thinking like you say, it may be a futile cause for OHCC's insurance to expect compensation from the maintenance companies insurance.

Anybody want to start a GoFundMe to get the clubhouse rebuilt?
