How did I make it negative?

I'm more than happy to rain on the Cabrera parade.

Maybe Cabrera can celebrate his achievement by impregnating mistresses with more illegitimate children.

Hopefully the has-been will retire after this season so his salary can be appropriated for more productive purposes.

He hit is 400th homerun during the 2015 season, just to provide one example of how his productivity in terms of slugging has deteriorated (he missed most of 2018, of course, due to injury). From 2017 onward, he's been nothing more than an average MLB player offensively.

Can you guys tell I'm not a Cabrera fan?

What does his personal life have to do with his professional accomplishments?

I'm waiting on Realist to attack you for ACTUALLY being negative, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. :lol

I was simply explaining why I'm not a fan of the guy. His professional accomplishments are indeed very impressive, but most of the "impressive" part occurred five or more years ago.

Can he top Juwan "Herpes" Howard? 6 babies with 4 different women, only one his wife?

Juwan was a piece of shit in the 90s and perhaps into the early 00s, no question about it.

Juwan Howard is a far better person today. I am skeptical Cabrera has turned into a better person.

He's been enabled in many ways:
  • That long-term contract that burdened the Tigers with a lot of unproductive debt. Contrast the Tigers with the Cardinals, who knew when to let go of Albert Pujols and continued winning.
  • Tigers on-field management, which has had a hard time motivating him to stay in shape and sometimes even to hustle to first base.
  • The hero-worshiping media. Memo to Jim Price: The Big Man hasn't been the Big Man since about 2016.
If the Tigers had been more responsible, he would have been guaranteed a contract only through his age 35 year. But no, they had to give him a lifetime contract.

So, what milestone is next for him? How long do you think it will take for him to get there?

It appears Cabrera is more than willing to play out the remaining guaranteed two years of his contract.

I shit on your comments because you mentioned someone who had NOTHING to do with Miggy’s accomplishment. Calling someone who isn’t an athlete a lowlife was completely irrelevant to this topic.
