Andre Drummond played like shit versus the Suns

Post by MWmetalhead » Sat Jun 05, 2021 8:47 pm

He averaged only 9 points per game, was ineffective at defending Ayton, was an impediment to the Lakers' offensive flow, committed numerous turnovers, and was absolute garbage in a pivotal game 5. L.A.'s coach was so frustrated by Drummond that he did not play in game six.

Cavs fans no longer feel bad about losing Drummond (recall his contract was bought out in late March), and Lakers fans are furious with him.

Andre Drummond = cancer. Good riddance!

Oh, this is TOO good...

So, after Drummond proved what a useless oaf he is in big games, the Lakers told him "take a hike; we don't want you back."

Guess where he's going now?

(wait for it)

(wait for it)

...Philadelphia! So he can be Joel Embiid's little bitch, albeit in a brand new way.

The best part? Drummond will be working for the NBA's minimum salary! :lol

So, after making $27 million last season, he'll be making about $2.6 million this coming season, a > 90% pay cut!

I think the main reason Drummond is going to Philly for league minimum is because he believes that move will give him a decent opportunity next year to compete for a title. Good luck getting past Brooklyn and Milwaukee in that quest. He has known Doc Rivers & his family for a long time, so that's part of it, too. Speaking of Mr. Rivers, he certainly is on the hot seat this year after the Sixers' early playoff exit last season.

For what it's worth, Drummond at least is saying the right things. We'll see how well he performs this coming season.
