It's very unfortunate, yet not surprising, that Coach Harbaugh is choosing to ignore the voices of 850 victims," Spotlight Michigan spokesperson Autria Lindsay said. "Turning a blind eye and denying the problem has been the Michigan way for decades now, and it's clear Coach Harbaugh is going to continue following the Bo Schembechler method.

"While the abuse suffered at the hands of serial predator Dr. Robert Anderson continues to haunt his hundreds of victims, these brave men and women are further victimized when their horrific allegations of rape and sexual assault aren't considered credible by those in power," the statement continued. "We had hoped Coach Harbaugh would be the face of a new era for the Michigan football program."

Sad and inexcusable.

What is sad and inexcusable? Bo Schembechler has been dead for 14 1/2 years, and it has been suggested he knew more about Anderson and could have stopped him. Jim Harbaugh knew Bo as a child and played for him. He was asked about the report and he simply stated that the Bo he knew was not someone he believed would let that go.

Schembechlers name should be taken off the football building. It would be the right thing to do, should the university care about justice. But not Michigan. There are too many self-absorbed asshole alumini living in the past like you, other Walmart Wolverines, and your dramatically overrated coach that think otherwise.

They're all dead anyway. Except of course for the 850 victims...and Lloyd Carr...and Gary Moeller... and about 40 other coaches who knew and joked about Anderson while threatening players with a trip to get sexually assaulted. I mean, they're all dead, and by that I mean 3 of the 1,000 or so people involved are dead. And of course Warde Manuel and Schlissel who covered this up starting in 2018 are still around. But besides those handful of people (850 victims, several dozen or so coaches and admins) everyone is dead, meaning Bo, Don Canham, and Dr. Anderson are dead, 1/3 of 1% of all the people involved are dead, so it's best just to drop this.

Where’s evidence that Lloyd Carr knew?

According to the Wilmer Hale report, "One alleged victim told investigators that, in the early 1980s, Easthope assured him that Anderson would be removed "from all patient-facing responsibilities," according to the report. But Anderson "continued to provide medical services to student-athletes and other patients -- and to engage in sexual misconduct with large numbers of them" until his retirement in 2003, accordding to the report".

Carr was head coach from 1995, and on the staff since 1980. It strains all credibility that he did not know.

I don't believe there is any credible suggestion that Mark Schlissel or Warde Manuel tried to cover anything up with Anderson. There's a difference between an active employee committing sex crimes on your campus and someone that retired 15 years prior to initial reports and died 10 years prior to the same reports. Let me be clear: Nassar will one day share a residence in hell with Anderson. Both "men" are/were monsters.

An aside about Lloyd - his wife Laurie just passed in the last two weeks, and he's said to not be in great health either. The Carrs moved to South Carolina in 2019, but moved back to Michigan after Laurie's cancer diagnosis in 2020.

Either Lloyd had no clue of what was happening with these young men he was responsible for, or he looked the other way as they were sexually assaulted. It appears he took the position of bullying these young men into accepting sexual assault just like that scumbag, lowlife Bo did. If that is the case, then I have no pity for Lloyd and hope that he gets to experience the same pain and shame those young men must live with.

Considering how long this went on, there is no reason to not strip the U of M of NCAA status and all championships. Permanent ban from NCAA.

Harbaugh is too busy trying to be a Schembechler clone. The thing is....nobody would have heard of Bo if he hadn't beat Woody in 1969.

I have a feeling there are a lot of folks in Ann Arbor - past and present - in positions of authority who aren't talking, at least not publicly.

I'm looking in the direction of former A.D. Bill Martin and in the direction of Red Berenson, among others. That definitely includes the likes of Lloyd Carr, too. What did these folks know about Anderson? We can add swimming, wrestling, gymnastics and baseball coaches to the list, too.

Did Bill Martin retire from banking or is he still President of Bank of Ann Arbor? The media should be bending over backwards to request him to comment. Ditto Tom Goss.

I guess I didn't realize that so many from the Bo era were still alive. In that case, I do feel that a full investigation is necessary. Doesn't matter that Lloyd Carr is sick, he needs to provide answers too, otherwise he is just as guilty if he knew.
