Was that right after or before the station intentionally played a song full of them to makes the station some money and the "artist" and record label some more royalties?

It was heard on an internet streaming service devoted exclusively to coverage of high school sports.

The fact the announcer tried pinning his horrendously offensive remarks on his diabetes is outrageous and a complete slap in the face to all diabetics. The man clearly has mental health issues.

Maybe its time to stop playing the National Anthem before a sporting event.
What other forms of entertainment play it? Any?
They don't play it before a movie or a concert or a Broadway play do they?

I agree with you, I love the country but once you do the anthem a thousand times it becomes a chore or a reason to get that last minute bathroom break or concession trip done.

I'm also in agreement.

Playing the anthem before sporting events gives the false impression that they have some kind of national significance.

Save the playing of the National Anthem for true national sporting events the represent the country, like winning Olympic gold.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban announced last month that they would stop playing the anthem before home games.
