Uggggggggh! It's true.

It's not 100 percent clear he can't return at some point this post season, but the prognosis sure ain't good.

Chances for a deep run are looking increasingly dim.

ALMOST pulled off an amazing comeback against the Buckeyes.

Smith's attempt at a walk-off, step back triple was just a bit long and went off the heel. (Michigan only trailed by 1 but had no one open down low. Dickinson was well guarded.) He had a good look. No issue with the shot selection. I do wish the other Michigan players would've moved around more on that final possession; perhaps would've given them more options for the potential game winning shot.

The way this game ended reminded me a lot of the U-M / Duke NCAA tournament game in Greensboro back in March 2011.

Wagner needs to step up and play better. Terrible game for him on offense.

If Iowa were to defeat both Illinois (today's game) and Ohio State (tomorrow's game), in my opinion they'd be deserving of the fourth #1 seed, and Michigan should slip to a 2 seed.

Nice late game comeback, but I can't believe that's the shot they settled for with all the size they had out there. It was gutsy to run the clock down like that, but it leaves little time for an offensive rebound and possible kick-out. Oh well. Still a great comeback; I thought they were toast down by double digits so late.

Everyone was well guarded. Part of that, though, is due to Michigan's guys not creating enough movement. Smith had a good look. His shooting performance from the field was dismal, though, for the game (although he did draw quite a few fouls).

Dickinson was very well defended until the last 2 seconds, where he finally was able to create some space, but there's no way Smith could've seen him. I watched the replay three times. A pretty tall tree in a Buckeyes jersey was standing between Smith and Dickinson.

I don't have a problem with Smith running the clock down like that. If he were to make the shot successfully, leaving at least a couple seconds on the clock for OSU would've sucked. Typically, only about 1 in 3 rebounds in NCAA Division I are offensive rebounds. So, on those grounds, that consideration shouldn't even enter the equation.

So, to recap, I support Smith's decision to run the clock down, and I thought given the circumstances, his shot selection wasn't bad.

What I *do* have a problem with is the lack of movement from Michigan's other men on that final possession.

Dickinson was tied up pretty good, but I didn't see anything that would've warranted an away-from-the-ball whistle.

Zero chance OSU would've won that game if Livers were healthy and available.

Duane Washington from G.R. Christian had another gigantic game for OSU.

If you're from Michigan, and you go to Ohio State, you are a piece of shit.

Maybe his academic credentials weren't good enough? ;)

Otherwise, I agree.

All this defense for Howard makes me sick, especially considering how Izzo has-been bashed here. He's hardly a high character, solid upstanding citizen. A convicted drunk driver, with 7 kids from 5 different women, who has been accused in a gang rape, been part of the biggest cheating scandal in NCAA history, and been sued 2 separate times for transmitting herpes. I don't know, color me skeptical, but that's a guy I'd have second thoughts about making him a role model for young men. But he can recruit, and has a #1 seed, so.....

He did his best Jim Schwartz impression in the Maryland game... as fun as they are to watch I feel a complete unraveling happening.

Seems like he's pretty much hated by every BT coach in the conference, hardly just Turgeon. Coming from a class act like Beilein is a big drop in character.

Oh look he’s another Michigan man... that’s all they hire these days it seems. Beilein being the exception.
