His $10 million buyout clause. Michigan athletics is already gonna be $80 million in the hole from lost revenue due to no fans / concessions / apparel sales / etc.
No way anyone would approve piling $10M more on that when they can just write this season's record off to the pandemic.
The real story will be seeing if he gets an extension past 2021 and what the terms might be.
