5-11. Stafford will continue to suck. Still no defense.

Might actually be worse than 5-11. If getting dumbass McCarthy out of there revives the Packers there are going to be three good teams in the NFC North.

I stay away from predictions in part because nobody really knows and in big part because I ain't know expert.
But I've always felt its more important for bad and mediocre teams to look good in preseason than it is for good teams to look good.

The 0-16 Lions went 4-0 in the preseason. The Lions in general are 12-5 in preseason openers in the last 17 years.

Vegas currently has Detroit favored in 2 games, a coin flip in 2 games, and as the underdog in the other 12 games. That makes them a 3-13 team by my math.

It won't be the New England Patriots this year. It will be The New Orleans Saints against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl & the Saints win it for the first time in 10 years.

I could see the Chiefs knocking off the Pats (hopefully), but the Saints aren't coming out of the NFC. Talented roster, but Drew Brees is old and his arm was dead by the end of last season, obscured by the horrid officiating in that playoff game against the Rams. There's a very good chance he could fall hard this year like Favre and Peyton Manning did in their final seasons.

If the Saints do win, it will give more ammo to the conspiracy that the NFL is rigged, since it will be a “makeup” for last year.

Sounds like Marinelli. Will he also look at the tape and check the film?

I realize Stafford hasn't played yet - but I'm going to make season prediction here & now anyway!

5 - 11.

I also will predict that Stafford will have a lousy year and that the Lions running game will be atrocious.
