Ok, I've never understood the dislike so many people have for Joe Buck. Can someone please explain?

His normal speech sounds so forced at times.

Years ago, he would fail to show enthusiasm for big plays. None is more famous than his deadpan call of the Giants' walk off field goal in San Fran, which earned the Giants a trip to the Super Bowl.

Finally, he's clearly a Cowboys fan and calls games involving them accordingly. Aikman even shows more objectivity.

I enjoy the FOX broadcasts much more now that he's gone.

Latest NFL power rankings from Dave Birkett. I agree with his top six, although I would've been OK with DET at 4 and PHI at 5, too.

CLE is too low on his list. They'd be seventh on my list, ahead of the Chiefs certainly.

I believe Dallas is due for a win. Winning on the road - at Dallas - will be a tall order. Lions won in Minnesota by the skin of their teeth; Dallas on their home field is a tougher team than Minnesota on their home field.
Dallas is due for a win? Says who!

I repeat -- if it ain't rough, it ain't right! :hat
Eight straight underdog wins on MNF. Lions will be dogs at Dallas, do they keep the streak alive? I know the game is Saturday night, but it is the MNF crew since there is no MNF game this week due to the CFP.
Line is currently Dallas by 6.

Was that in 2012? Isn't that when Joe Buck was recovering from a vocal chord injury?

I was unaware of any such injury, until you mentioned it. Interesting and very scary stuff. He stated his voice was back to normal by October 2011, per the article linked below.

Indeed, the game in question was played January 2012. I wasn't necessarily expecting him to scream in exhilaration into the mic, but he literally sounded disinterested during the call of that kick.

I can say the Cowboys are DUE for a loss at home.
I can say the Pistons are DUE for a win after losing 25 straight.
I can say the Lions are DUE for a Super Bowl after decades of abject futility.

All the above are ridiculous statements with absolutely no basis in reality. You play the game to win the game...one game at a time. It's been suggested the Cowboys are good at home because of the quiet crowd when they're on offense, allowing Prescott to call audibles at the line instead of reading defenses after dropping back. There's credence to that, but what's been evident their last two games is that they have only one truly reliable receiver in Ceedee Lamb. If we can shut him down there's no reason to believe our defense can't prevail. The Cowboys' running game is lacking and their stud veteran left tackle Tyron Smith is currently questionable for the game .

The Cowboys are also vulnerable to power running between the tackles. I expect Montgomery to get a heavy workload. This will also work to keep the Cowboys offense off the field if we can move the ball methodically down the field; our O-line is our strength. Of course, we must win any turnover battle and avoid mistakes.

I'm so happy the Lions finally won the NFC North and their first division title in 30 years hope that the Lions win more division titles and it doesn't take another 30 years to do it. Now beat the Cowboys on Sat I still like that fake spike that Stafford did to get the win over the Cowboys in 2013 season and Megatron picking apart the Cowboys defense that day as well with 329 yards in the air.

Is it me?...
Or is it that , it seems that when the Lions are in Dallas, there is always a horrible call by the officials that greatly benefits the Cowboys and screws the Lions...
You know, 2015, that blatant PI on Brandon Pettigrew, it was called, then for reasons STILL not explained to this day, the zebras just pick up the flag and acted like.."wha, wha, nothing happened"...
Then Dez Bryant runs on the field after the initial PI call was made, shouting at the officials without his helmut, and what should have been a 15 yd unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, again refs didn't call that...yea still burns me up to this day, I was watching that game I almost threw a full beer bottle at the screen , we were at a Buffalo Wild Wings...
Just hope the Leo's show up play well, if they lose, won't be surprised....

I hate the Cowboys, root against them every time...

Cowboys always get the calls at home. Fuck it. It's December 30. Usually on this date, the Lions have been eliminated from the playoffs for a month and a half. Today, we are needing a win to solidify a #2 and possibly a #1 seed.

House money!

GO LIONS!!!!

Is Jerry Jones getting dementia? What took so long to honor the guy he fired 30 years ago after winning 2 Super Bowls?
