So have I convinced anybody yet that a bye is within reach? Down to needing to win 2 games and the 49ers losing 1 of 2.

Very doable as long as we play well.

Niners have the Redsk... er....Commanders and then the Rams at home. Possible they lose one, but they will be touchdown+ favorites in both. Lions winning in Dallas also a stretch.

It can happen, but doubtful.

I was just looking back at the mid-90s and Detroit's teams. The first ever Lions game I remember watching, I still remember the score to this day - Detroit lost to Green Bay 16-12. What is interesting is that Minnesota and Chicago both also made the playoffs. So you had Detroit, Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota all in the playoffs as there were 3 wild cards and all 3 went to the NFC Central.

So at one point the NFC Central was the epicenter of good football plus Tampa Bay…

Well, kind of. Green Bay, Detroit, and Chicago were all 9-7. And one thing I don't remember at all - the Arizona Cardinals played in the NFC East??!! Saints and Falcons both played in the West. I guess the re-divisioning was a good idea.

Tampa in our division puzzles me too. Arizona was in St. Louis until 1987 and in Chicago before that so it’s a holdover from that period.

Purdy left last night's game late due to injury. His status is unclear.

I don't see the Niners losing to lowly Washington in any case. However, that contest against the Rams will be very difficult if Purdy is unable to go.

The Eagles have the pathetic Cardinals upcoming and then a rematch against the Giants. I think Philly wins both and has the best chance of earning the 1 seed in the NFC.

The Cowboys play the Commanders in week 17.

I'm just happy Kansas City lost. So sick of Travis Kelce!!!
I'm sick of that slithering snake Mahomes. I'm sick of his commercials, too!

Boy, the Giants almost pulled off the upset at Philly! A good weekend overall.

I believe Dallas is due for a win. Winning on the road - at Dallas - will be a tall order. Lions won in Minnesota by the skin of their teeth; Dallas on their home field is a tougher team than Minnesota on their home field.

I hope the Lions' linebackers play better this coming weekend. They underwhelmed last weekend.

Path to 13 wins is much easier for the Eagles.

Eight straight underdog wins on MNF. Lions will be dogs at Dallas, do they keep the streak alive? I know the game is Saturday night, but it is the MNF crew since there is no MNF game this week due to the CFP.
