Not a done deal, but looking likely. It's a shame that Michigan publicly humiliated Jim last year after the anomaly that was 2020. If he goes, I hope they go with Gattis, Hart, or Moore. They should also make a move to retain Jay Harbaugh.

:rollin :rollin Dear God, PLEASE let it happen! Hiring Mike Hart for head coach would make the Brady Hoke hire look like Saban!

Bo almost left for Texas A&M at one point. Harbaugh is a competitor - I could see him going either way if he gets an offer. It comes down to where the desire to win a Super Bowl is on his list - is he willing to make a lot of other sacrifices for that? Also, if he stays at Michigan, there needs to be a true buyout that would prevent this issue from popping up again.

It kinda chaps my ass a little bit. Brings the program into true relevance after 2 decades, finally gets over the hump, and then may leave for the NFL. If he goes, then what? Another 20 year rebuilding process? 🙄

I am elated with this development! He's also said this isn't going to be an annual thing!

No way he flies to Minnesota on signing day, interviews, gets an offer, and turns it down. They didn't want him obviously.

Holding UM hostage for a month while he pursues multiple NFL jobs and then has to go back to Warde Manuel with his tail between his legs is hilarious to me. They tried to get him to quit last year with that insult of a pay cut, then he goes to the playoff and figures it's time to assert some leverage and didn't get an offer. How does anyone there trust him (especially recruits) at this point?

This is a bad take, especially the signing day nonsense. Michigan signed it's class in December.

This is also a bad take. Harbaugh talked to one team. He's under contract, and the university leadership had a major unplanned transition 2 1/2 weeks ago. Harbaugh has already agreed to an interview with Angelique.

He wanted the job and the Vikings didn't want him. This is clear. He now crawls back where he is welcomed with open arms.

Bart Scott this morning said "this is gonna affect Michigan football recruiting immediately. But if you're Ryan Day and Mel Tucker you can use this in future recruiting in saying that you're being recruited to Michigan by a guy who doesn't even wanna coach there.”
