I think it stinks, but I'm still not happy PSU is in the conference...and don't get me started about Maryland.

PROGRE$$.
Add two more teams and split it back into divisions of members 1-10 and 11-20. Play all teams in your division and 1 crossover game/year.
So the conference championship game will be played in early January? Maybe in Pasadena? They should have a parade the morning of the game.
We could even call it the Tournament of Roses…

But for real, this whole thing blows.

Rich corporate fucks are killing everything good about this country.

I knew NikeU Ducks & Washington were Big10 bound I called it last year in 2022 that they would be added once USC & UCLA decided to join the Big10. The ACC raiding will happen FSU, The U, Pitt joining The Big10 I like it I don't mind it at all. ND Overrated will now need to join a conf or they will be left behind. Lil Pac needed ESPN & Fox Sports more than ESPN & Fox Sports needed Lil Pac as Pacman killed The Pac12 LOL.

Lol. I still remember Kelly Bundy calling UCLA "Uck-Luh" 🤣
Speaking of Kelly Bundy and UCLA, there's also the University of Spoiled Children now in the Big 10.

I don't disagree with a lot of what Acker says here. I do think that further consolidation was inevitable and I'm happy that the B1G was in a position to survive. The geography will be a H*** challenge, but I'm certainly more excited about this round rather than the one that brought us Rutgers and Maryland.

The travel is rough for baseball, volleyball, and swimming teams who have 3-4 games a week. This is going to have negative effects all the way around. It ruins bowl games. What does it mean when you have all these teams that play each other during the season anyways? How is this fair to Stanford? Existing rivalries are going to be diluted.

Its time to come up with a new name for the conference. "Big Ten" isn't iconic anymore its just bad math.

The Big 10 + 8 has to do with marketing not wanting to change logos costing a lot of money to change. What happened with The Big 12 when the Huskers & CU left they kept it Big 12 as I liked to call them The Little 12 which I thought the conf was going to be dead a decade ago.

I remember the joke "Pall Mall Can't Spall". The Big 10 can't count.

If you ever worked a c-store, they pronounce it “Pal Mal.” I wouldn’t know now…

If the Big Ten does anything, they'll just drop the "Ten" and call themselves the "BIG Conference." The wouldn't even need to change the logo.
