I'll take the win, but I'm with MW - that clock management just outside of 4 minutes was some of the worst I've ever seen. Gotta clean that up.

NOW....on to rooting for Baltimore over San Fran tomorrow night to keep Detroit on track for a first-round bye.

Do we need to root for Dallas to lose to Miami in a few minutes?

Whew! Thrilling, dramatic ending in Minnesota that actually went our way.

Congrats, Lions!!! 😃

Detroit is now guaranteed at least a 3-seed. The Dallas/Miami game has no bearing on Detroit possibly getting a 1-seed whatsoever.

And because of how weak Philly's remaining schedule is, they're practically guaranteed the division, so as far as a 2 or 3 seed, honestly the Dallas game doesn't have much bearing on that other than a few unlikely scenarios playing out. Dallas is nearly a lock at the 5-seed which will send them on the road to the winner of the NFC South.

That said, I'm perfectly fine with the Cowboys losing :lol

I think in any case the way things look, the Lions will have to win out. That, of course, means winning in Dallas next week.

Oh, and by the way, the 'Boys just fumbled at the goal line. :razz

For a 1-seed, the Lions would have to win out. For a 2-seed, the Lions would have to finish better than the winner of the East. Good news is that if Detroit and Philly both win out, Detroit holds the tiebreaker (common opponents).

So bottom line is this - because of Philly's weak schedule, Detroit PROBABLY gets the 3-seed if they lose either of their last 2 games but are guaranteed at least a 2-seed if they win out (since a win over Dallas next week would guarantee that Dallas doesn't get the #2 spot).

Most likely scenarios as I understand them:

Detroit 1-seed: Detroit win out, SF lose 2 of 3.
Detroit 2-seed: Detroit win out, SF win 2 of 3.
Detroit 2-seed: Detroit lose another game, Philly lose another game.
Detroit 3-seed: Detroit lose another game, Philly win out.
Detroit 3-seed: Detroit lose both remaining games

Should we, unfortunately, lose next week - Dallas winning out wouldn't be enough to give them the East? Or is Philly's SOV lead much too big for Dallas to make up now?

I can't believe all the negativity I'm reading here. Whatever you want to believe, the Lions are STILL in the hunt for the #1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye. The "Big 3" of Niners, Eagles, and Cowboys are 10-3, the Lions are 9-4. Yes, the Niners have a cupcake schedule with one big exception - the Ravens on Christmas Monday Night, albeit at home on the coast. The same can be said of the Eagles with the possible exception of the Seahawks next Monday Night in Seattle. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have the Bills and Dolphins on the road the next two weeks before our boys invade their turf. If the Lions can win out while those other three teams go 3-1 or 2-2, it makes for a most interesting scenario.

I don't make predictions, I'm just spelling out the possibilities with the notion that on any given Sunday (or Saturday or Monday).... :hat
If you look at the records, the Lions have only defeated one time with a winning record.
Bucs have a winning record now.

Dallas can still win the East, but Philly holds the tiebreaker over Dallas. So Dallas would not only need to win out, they would also need Philly to lose to either the Giants or the Cardinals - 2 of the worst teams in football.

Dallas could also win the East even with a loss, but then they would need Philly to lose 2 of their last 3, and even though they're stumbling, I don't see that happening. A Dolphins win would all but seal Dallas' fate as a 5-seed.

Glad they won, but with four INTs, a 6 point win is kinda sad. That said, all that matters is the W.

The Lions - Vikings game had some similarities to Michigan - Ohio State.

Same final score. Both games ended with interceptions that ruined what would've been game winning come-from-behind drives (after the driving team had picked multiple first downs). Both games determined division winners.

And the right team won both games! :)
