It's little shit like missing an extra point that drives me up a wall.

Re: Detroit Lions 2023
Same old Lions. They'll limp into the postseason and fail to win a single game, as has been the case for three decades now.
When the Lions have a strong first 10 or 11 games to the regular season, they never, ever (excluding 1991) have been able to maintain that momentum.
Question: if the Vikings, Packers and Lions all wind up finishing the regular season with the same W-L record, and if the Lions finish 1-1 against Minnesota and 1-1 against Green Bay, who will be recognized as the NFC North champion?

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Bears held to a FG, still a two score game.
(Edit)
Boy, the Sun God drops two passes he usually makes. That last one on fourth-and-21 would've been the first down they absolutely needed. It does not bode well for this game.

I'd love to see Teddy Bridgewater get the start next week, but that will never happen.

Say WHAT!?! You been dippin' into the mushrooms this afternoon?MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 4:01 pmI'd love to see Teddy Bridgewater get the start next week, but that will never happen.
I'll admit Goff was a little off today, but his receivers didn't help much and the Lions are still in the hunt for the #1 seed in the NFC. Here's hoping for a Philly loss tonight. If we can pull the upset in Dallas in a few weeks....

Here are the various scenarios:MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 3:29 pmQuestion: if the Vikings, Packers and Lions all wind up finishing the regular season with the same W-L record, and if the Lions finish 1-1 against Minnesota and 1-1 against Green Bay, who will be recognized as the NFC North champion?
Detroit, Minnesota, and Green Bay each 10-7. Minnesota wins division, Detroit finishes ahead of Green Bay in wild card race
Detroit and Minnesota finish at 10-7, Green Bay 9-8 or worse - Minnesota wins division
Detroit and Green Bay finish 10-7, Minnesota 9-8 or worse - Green Bay wins division
Detroit virtually clinches a playoff spot with one more win.
Re: Detroit Lions 2023
Just watched the 3-0 Vikings/Raiders shootout. Hopefully, the Vikings are as weak when the Lions play them as they were today. They still got the win, though.

It’s a good team in its first full year of being good… they need a couple more to be reliable.craig11152 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:31 pmThe Lions 15 minutes of fame is coming to an end.

Then let Bridgewater start next week. Keep Goff for the second half.

Re: Detroit Lions 2023
I hope your right. But my worry is they reached their peak and it's downhill from here. 8-9 next year, 5-12 after that.Rate This wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:33 pmIt’s a good team in its first full year of being good… they need a couple more to be reliable.craig11152 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:31 pmThe Lions 15 minutes of fame is coming to an end.

Re: Detroit Lions 2023
Thanks. So what that all means is if Detroit ties with either or both of those two teams, then Detroit loses the NFC North.bmw wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 6:40 pmHere are the various scenarios:MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 3:29 pmQuestion: if the Vikings, Packers and Lions all wind up finishing the regular season with the same W-L record, and if the Lions finish 1-1 against Minnesota and 1-1 against Green Bay, who will be recognized as the NFC North champion?

It would be classic SOL for Detroit to lose to Minnesota, finish tied with either Minnesota, Green Bay, or both, lose the division crown, and then lose its wild card game.
Green Bay is probably going to win against the Giants.
