Why is that relevant? It appears Partridge was fired for interfering with the investigation by allegedly destroying or concealing evidence. His predecessor presumably did nothing wrong.

Because Connor Stallions wasn't sending in the signals to the defense himself. Because pictures show he was standing on the sidelines with stacks of paper he clearly didn't generate during the course of that game, feeding information to somebody who clearly didn't want to ask questions that should have been asked about how he knew what he knew.

I don't find that a big stretch. I'm not saying he didn't know I'm saying its not a stretch just because of where the money may have come from or because a coach destroyed evidence unless the evidence was in Harbaugh's office.

It appears that the investigation uncovered either prior knowledge of the scheme by Partridge, active cover-up, or both. Several people at Michigan confirmed that the players were interviewed this week. Stalions reported to Partridge, but according to people I've spoken to, there was no evidence prior to this week to show that Partridge knew how Stalions was getting his signs. The timing of this strongly suggests Michigan only recently learned of Partridge's involvement very recently, and that this was a major factor in deciding to settle with the Big Ten.

This is the first mention I've seen of Stalions directly reporting to Partridge.

It is certainly possible Partridge's termination is merely due to his failure to properly monitor the activities of his direct report. However, I think the theories floated by MGoBlog are the more probable explanation.

NCAA investigators reportedly were interviewing players in recent days.

I can't find a legitimate news source to confirm that . Mostly just hearsay from "undisclosed sources" .
If you have a link to a real story I would certainly read it if its free to read.

They would pull 8% of WJR in Washtanaw at any given time.
