I was watching a TV story about the Super Bowl commercials.
One of the ads shows an actress in a staring contest with a Barbie doll.
I started wondering, where do you draw the line between healthy escapism and inane idiocy?

Super Bowl Commercials
Re: Super Bowl Commercials
The Barbie add was actually a Rocket Mortgage commercial featuring Anna Kendrick. I thought it was one of the better ads of the night.

My favorite ad was the Roman Colosseum tailgating for avocados. Romans and barbarians -- very clever! One wonders why this scenario wasn't dreamt up before.
Nothing else left much of an impression on me. Too much hyperkinetic animation and CGI all around, it was a turn-off.
