Nothing can bring me out in hives more than that little ditty.
Menards " You save big money when you shop Menards"
There was this one in the early 2000's for Kendall Jackson Chardonay on the radio. A co-worker and I get pretty annoyed with it.
Anything with Liberty Mutual and I mean anything to do with them. Piss on them and the brown emu they rode in on.
Regarding the “kars for kids” TV commercial, my understanding is these are very low-rent ad slots, and it means the broadcaster did not have a higher paying ad to replace it. Kind of like a PSA.
Things like:
World wildlife fund
Charities that do cleft palates surgeries,
Surgery-medical ship charities
Charities feeding the hungry elderly Jewish people in Israel
Red Cross
Etc….
Obviously things that identify as “from the AdCouncil” or something pointing you to a website with .gov as the address is a PSA on behalf of the government,
These ads pop up in surprising time slots on different news channels, from newsnation to cnn to Fox News, and it makes me surprised to think “this time of day they couldn’t sell that ad slot?”
Of course, PSAs are the only advertisers on Many AM stations, on all parts of the day.
