Add to that list "Anything by Mickeal Jackson,"

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

These 2 actually don't get played enough these days.
I'm tired of 80s music. Bring back the 70s.

But 15 years ago I would get enraged when Magic Man came on for the 5th time that day.

Lol once in 2010 I was at a hotel with friends and we were at the computers. I turned on the "I Ran (So Far Away" on YouTube. Halfway through the song my friend says something to me, so I take my headphones off and the song is playing over the speakers in the lobby.

I always have weird music things like that happen.
Like once a couple years ago I went to the pharmacy, and on the way in I thought to myself "'Dancing in the Moonlight' seems like a good song to listen to today".
I walk in and it's playing over the speakers.

Or this time I was grocery shopping and randomly decided I wanted to hear Tracy Chapman.
Then "Give Me One Reason" starts playing

I don't mind "Take On Me" or "I Ran," because they remind me of one of my favorite music videos of the 1980's (TOM) and that funny scene in La La Land with the '80s tribute band (IR).

WRQN plays Magic Man a lot, but Smoke from a Distant Fire now seems limited to the 70's at 7. 10 years ago it was in regular rotation.

What are the odds there?

They do! I seem to hear that a lot on WRQN along Straight up by Paula Abdul.

I'd add R. Kelly to the list if he were still getting airplay. Fortunately his catalog has been largely purged from the airwaves. I never liked his music even before I knew what a monster he is. He wrote MJ's hit "You Are Not Alone" - proof of that saying about birds of a feather.

Next thing to do is get rid of anything written/produced by Dr. Luke. Thanks to the success of Doja Cat and Latto, that rapist piece of shite is raking in the dough again. I refuse to listen to anything Dr. Puke wrote or produced, and that includes virtually all of Katy Perry's big hits (thankfully she doesn't work with him anymore).
I'd be okay also with donating any royalties from airplay, etc. to victims' funds or appropriate charities.

I hear both of them all the time. I liked WRQN better 12 years ago when it was 60's and 70's, plus a few 80's in between. The playlist is too repetitive these days.

You could also add Gary Glitter to the list if stations still play him which I doubt too many of them do anymore.

Does WNIC or 101.5 the River still play "I Believe I Can Fly"? I know they used to prior to the allegations and convictions.

By and large, that song hasn't been played on AC radio in years, being of a piece with Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and other '90s soft AC that skews "too old" now. Speaking of Celine Dion, she removed her R. Kelly duet "I'm Your Angel" from streaming platforms after the allegations, kudos to her.
Lady Gaga showed very questionable judgment in also recording a song with Kelly called "Do What U Want" (the hook being "do what you want with my body"). Fortunately, she has also since disavowed that song and removed it from streaming. It wasn't a very big hit at the time anyway, coming from her polarizing "Artpop" album.
