Bobby Rydell
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the passing of Bobby Rydell on April 5th. Bobby was one of the big stars of the early years of Rock and Roll. Bobby had 29 hot 100 hits, 19 of which made the top 40 and 6 top 10's. Songs like Wild One, Volare and Forget Him were some of his big hits. May he RIP.

Re: Bobby Rydell
I was never a fan of his music, but remember his fine guest starring role in an episode of my favorite show at the time, and still a great series, Combat! I saw it again in recent months on H&I.
RIP

Re: Bobby Rydell
Two things I've learned about Bobby since his passing:
1) Rydell High in Grease was named after him.
2) I saw a used Rydell LP recently that featured other artists, and one of those was the Isley Brothers. If Rydell could be linked to a future Rock Hall act, even that early in their career, then he could've had more to his story than was commonly known.

Look what happened in early 1964, The Beatles & the British Invasion began & Bobby Rydell could not hit the Top 40 again!!
