I used to hear both of those Cockburn songs on 630 CFCO before they dropped Classic Gold. Also loved "Tokyo," "If a Tree Falls," "Making Contact," and "Waiting for a Miracle" to name a few more.

"White Bird" gets played occasionally on WLEN Adrian's Friday Flashbacks. The full album version, no less.

I'll have to think on 10 but here are 2 from the 1990s, that didn't get enough play.

Well... I know he's had mental health issues but I'm not certain he spent anytime in a mental hospital. To my knowlege.

This got some airplay in the mid 90s, I remember hearing this on WIQB quite a bit.

One of the few places where this kind of alternative programming really happens is on Saturday nights on WAAM. I often listen to the London Calling show between 10 and 11 p.m. It would be great if they added a show for album rock of the late 60s and 70s.

10 of many:
"Don't Stop Me Now" - Queen (how is it popular in commercials but never was a hit?)
"Don't Turn Your Back" - B.O.C.
"Don't You Know (Ambushed)" - Blue Rose
"Casino Royale" - Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass
"You Should Be High Love" - Billy Squier
"Last Plane Out" (or "The Ballad of Jenny Ledge") - Toy Matinee
"Here At The Western World" - Steely Dan
"Look The Other Way" - Isley, Jasper, Isley
"Sour Suite" - The Guess Who
"Sandy" - Ronny & the Daytonas

I think "Don't Stop Me Now" was a hit but never really played today on classic rock radio stations.

Like others have commented, coming up with only 10 is difficult.

I don't hear much music-related radio these days, so I can only guess that following (mostly Pop songs) are NOT played on the radio.

Crystal Clear - Darling Buds
Istanbul (not Constantinople) - They Might Be Giants
I'm a Believer (album version only) - Giant
Mister Meaner - Ric Ocasek
The Unguarded Moment - The Church
Rat Trap - Boomtown Rats
Don't Fence Me In - David Byrne
Calling All Girls - Hilly Michaels
Unglued - STP
Stolen Dance - Milky Chance
I think "Don't Stop Me Now" was a hit but never really played today on classic rock radio stations.
Don't Stop Me Now - popular recently, but was not a hit when originally released as a single in the US.

There was a bit of 'Queen-fatigue' building with the relative flop-release of the rather too-flam 'Bicycle Race'. Chances are good that - unless you or someone you knew were a major Queen fan and owned their 'Jazz' album back in the day - you would not have heard (or remembered) it until well into the 2000's. The major (re)surge in popularity due to the Queen movie BR a few years back is what propelled it as a major to fans new and renewed, as well as the ad agencies.

The methodology for measuring popularity and sales is obviously different now, but the song charted more and higher in 2018 than back in '79.

Stolen Dance was played on 93.9 the River until it flipped last fall.

I do remember Don't Stop Me Now was played in commercials in late 2018 and early 2019. It's faded as the movie has been out for a few years now.

I figured at least one of those songs may have radio play. Thanks!

Oddly enough, I saw a Budweiser commercial this morning that used it.
