Anthony Mason gave tribute to Mr. Neve during his segment of the roundtable on CBS This Morning today.
I can't find a link to it or I'd post it. It's not hard to find YT interviews with - and articles about - the man and his genius.

I got to sit at a Neve desk only one time, for one session in my career. If I remember it was an 5088 16-channel. Those things were every bit as good as advertised and worth every nickel they charged for them (which was/is considerable). Smooth as kitten fur wrapped in velvet.
