Bonnie Raitt

Find it humorous that some people are asking who she is after her big Grammy win last night. I first saw her at the Lansing Civic Center in 1978, opening for Jesse Colin-Young. Saw her again last summer for the umpteenth time at the Santa Barbara Bowl and she still is kicking ass. One of the great guitar players around.

Back in February of 1990 Bonnie wins "Album Of The Year" for "Nick Of Time" beating out Fine Young Cannibals "The Raw & The Cooked", Don Henley "The End Of The Innocence", the late Tom Petty "Full Moon Fever" & Traveling Wilburys "Vol. 1". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toMOjLr ... %2FGRAMMYs

At least NBC/Today ought to have gotten John PRINE right (not "John Prince").

WOW, didn't even catch that, SM. And they wrote "Prince" twice, so it's not like it was a typo.

EDIT: Just e-mailed the "writer": Dunno if that was the editor or you, but somebody should be ashamed since it was wrong not once, but twice.

I'll letcha' know if I get a response.

I like Bonnie's Music. "Something to Talk About" and "I Can't Make You Love Me" are both great songs.

You owe it to yourself to check out her earlier stuff. "Angel From Montgomery" is a John Prine song, and her version(s) are simply some of the greatest music ever recorded.

There are better Americana artists than Bonnie, but she has been a great ambassador
