I used to help in a bay-to-bay bike ride for MS from Newport Beach to San Diego. Sam was very involved and could not have been kinder to everybody.

I guess Sam was one of the most well known entertainment reporters anywhere. Very sudden as you could tell KTLA's staff were in shock. May Sam R.I.P.
