737 Max jets operated by United are a double threat.
Kayak now allows you to search for flights by plane type. It was devised specifically for the 737 Max.

Boeing Whistleblower Who Raised Quality Concerns Is Found Dead
John Barnett had accused the plane manufacturer for retaliating against him after he flagged problems he saw at Boeing’s 787 factory in South Carolina.
A prominent Boeing whistle-blower, a former quality manager who raised concerns about manufacturing practices at the company’s 787 Dreamliner factory in South Carolina, was found dead on Saturday with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to local officials.

Delta uses Airbus 319, 321A's mostly. They also have Boeing 717's (converted, recycled MD80's).
Southwest is almost exclusively 737's, about 80 Max I believe.

Did Nikki Haley bail before all this hit the fan, or does she bear some responsibility?
I'm sorry if this offends some of you, but Nikki reminds me of Hillary. Her bailing on her debate pledge was stupid, as she knew what she was doing.

Aircraft manufacturing standards fall under the guise of the FAA, so no.
To add to TC Talks' insightful posts, Delta also uses little known regional airline partners for some routes, which often use smaller aircraft made by Embraer, I believe.

In related, but surely purely coincidental news, a Boeing whistleblower who was in his final day of depositions and a trial not far off regarding his 2017 lawsuit against the company was found dead in his truck in a motel parking lot, supposedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
