I'm not sure how the conversation got down this way, but I'll throw my hat in.
You know what I think it is? People being shitty to each other. Lying to each other. Stealing. Cheating. Fucking others over. Being a dick. Not only being a dick, but being proud of it. If people were just a little more decent to each other instead of insisting on being fucking first class assholes and douche canoes of the highest order, it might start to change the psyche a little bit. I'm not perfect, but letting someone into traffic instead of riding the next guy's bumper so they can't get in, or holding a door, or just not being a fucking bag of dicks all the time certainly helps.
