Saturn and its Rings Visble With Binoculars

Post by Turkeytop » Tue Jan 17, 2023 7:23 pm

Saw my neighbouur looking up into the sky with his binoculars. When I asked him about it he said he was looking at Saturn.

If you look to the west it's almost directly overhead, Slightly west and slightly south. It's the brightest object in that part of the sky.

When I got back here I tried it with my own binoculars. But with my cataracts, I couldn't get a clear image.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

I've considered buying a telescope, I've always been fascinated by space and planets. If I recall, it's been said that one of the moons of Saturn( or it could be Jupiter) could possibly have life of some sort on it. I believe water may of been detected, not sure.

If you get out a small hand held mirror, you can look at Uranus pretty much any time.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

No matter my age, Uranus jokes will never not be funny.
