Some years ago, some athiest in California filed a lawsuit stating that having 'In God We Trust' on currency was unconstitutional. He lost the case.

You have to remember, that 'In God We Trust' is only half of the saying. The complete saying is 'In God We Trust; All Others Pay Cash'.
