It's not just "rich people" who are invested in the Stock Market. When bank interest fell to almost 0%, and some talking about "negative interest" rates, most started investing for retirement in the Stock Market. You may not even be aware of it. It may be a large portion your company retirement funds, union pensions, etc. So, will it ever recover in our lifetime without serious political change, and replacing politicians who don't care about middle America? Or are they deliberately trying to destroy middle America? Many believe so. Many Americans are guilty of ENVY, and don't care. But it affects us all, not just people with a nickel more and are envious of them.

Somebody needs to ask Janet Yellen if inflation is a problem or not. She (and her team) was really asleep at the wheel when everybody else was wondering about how bad inflation was going to be. At least she (sort of) admitted to the miss.

1. The US stock market has bounced back from downturns every single time, and has done so without regard to who happens to be in political office.
2. If you're still accumulating assets for retirement or some other future need, as I am, you should be licking your chops at this golden opportunity to acquire assets that are expected to appreciate in value at today's lower prices.
