.Man tried to steal from women's intimates section at North Charleston Walmart: Police
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A man has been charged after officials said he was attempting to steal items from a Walmart in North Charleston.
According to officials, officers responded to the store along Rivers Avenue on Thursday evening after being told a man was concealing items into a large luggage bag.
Once at the scene, authorities were informed that the suspect was in the women's intimacy section taking more items.

When confronted by police, officials said the suspect began to walk away and ignored demands to put his hands up. An officer caught the man and began to bring him to the ground after he tried to run.
Authorities said he attempted to get away again and, due to the distance to him and the close proximity of other people, the responding officer could not use his stun gun.
The man made it outside to the parking lot where he was eventually apprehended by other units.

While placing him into the back of a police car, the man again attempted to flee, but was stopped.
He was transported to a hospital in the area to be checked out after receiving cuts to his face while being arrested.
He has been charged with shoplifting and was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center
