Chrysler 300

Post by Bryce » Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:10 pm

Read a story in the Detroit News today about a shooting that took place in a Walmart parking lot. The suspects took off in a Chrysler 300.

It sure seems to me, from stories I read, that an inordinate amount of crime is committed by people driving Chrysler 300's.

What's up with that?

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Also, it's the most stolen new vehicle by far.

One of the nicest cars. Sad they aren't making them anymore.

I meant Chrysler in general. How many Hell Cats are stolen? They have stolen them right off the 9 Mile factory lot here in Warren several times a year.

My guess, these are all keyless push-button starts?

Dumb idea. My car still has a real key that has wheat grain id. Need mechanical and close range electronic id (1") for start.

My Equinox has that feature. But why would anyone want to steal an Equinox when there is a Chrysler 300 sitting in a driveway just up the street?

Is it the car, or the people driving it?
Detroit police investigate drive-by shooting that injured 2 people
Suspect drove white Chrysler 300
He entered the bank and fired a single shot into the wall behind the teller, according to the FBI. During that heist, the man wore a facemask and ball cap along with a fluorescent orange safety vest, authorities said. Based on surveillance footage, he also appears to drive a black Chrysler 300 with chrome rims.
5 armed robberies in 2 hours reported by police. In each incident two males approach victims, pull out a gun and demand their property before fleeing in a newer model silver Chrysler 300.
Two people have been charged following the death of a 48-year-old man who was killed in a car crash on Friday. Officials say at about 1:30 p.m. officers responded to reports of a possible kidnapping of an adult woman by an armed man in the 12900 block of Dale Street.

A notice was broadcasted to other officers that the suspect was driving a white Chrysler 300. Officers identified the suspect’s vehicle traveling south on West Outer Drive near Plymouth Road.
Romulus — A three-vehicle hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning in Romulus ended in the arrests of three men and the seizure of two guns, police said.

Michigan State Police responded to the crash site at Eureka near Interstate 275 at about 9 a.m.

They found a black Chrysler 300 in the middle of the road, with two men inside, and the driver walking the roadway on Eureka, police said.
It seems to me we could effect a big reduction in crime by prohibiting the ownership of Chrysler 300's.

Their gangster look leads to easy customizing and most of the time if you see one that is stock it is an older person or business person driving it. They are handsome, nicely equipped, pretty damn bullet proof, great road cruisers, and cheaper than other brands that sell something to compete with it. FCA is keeping it through the 2021 model year, in 3 trims only and have not said anything about it's future after that although the current thinking id it will go away. I drive it's stable mate the Charger...

Huh? Maybe on TV or if you purchase an armored version or customize it yourself.

Bullet proof mechanically. Sorry, I am a car guy and don't always remember to talk in non car guy talk. Bullet proof in car guy talk means mechanically sound, very few problems.

I wouldn't support an outright ban. Just require the owners to register their vehicle and have a permit to operate it.
