The other day I was thinking about this but is it ethical or moral to hang up dead animals for public display? I did a Google search but I really didn't see anything on the subject. It just seems like a morbid thing to do. What do you guys think on this subject? I'm not a hunter so I'm somewhat biased on the matter.

Not a hunter either. But I have a son-in-law who is....bow hunts deer.
I would never stop and stare at a buck pole but as far as ethical or moral I'm OK with it since I eat dead cows, pigs, fish, chickens, turkeys etc. And fair to say those deer probably had a better life than the meat I consume right up to the point of death.

I have no issue with it. Jesus ate lamb, which is also vegetarian-fed 4-legged animal.

Don't get me wrong, I as well enjoy meat. But the buckpole thing kinda bothers me though. And I agree they probably had a better life than the meat we get from the store.

Deer are a menace to road travel. I'd rather see it on pole and used for food than it as a temporary hood ornament.

I suppose hunting, for food, is ethical. Hunting for sport is disgusting.

Is it ethical or moral to stack cordwood?

I don't have a problem with it. The more important issue is the "shooting fish in a barrel"/big game trophy kills. Lots of VERY endangered animals killed for no purpose.

Now, you want to thin the herd of wolves/coyotes like the DNR did up north a few years ago, I am totally fine with that.

Considering the order of what came first shouldn’t that read that roads are a menace to deer travel?

I'm not real familiar with it. But I think hanging the deer like that for a few hours (maybe even 12 hours or more) is part of processing. It has to drain or something or the meat won't be good. But like I said, I'm not any expert on it.

First, Wolves don't travel or live in "herds" that need to be thinned. Wolves are glorious creatures that live and travel in a pack with rules and regulations. I've lived with two of them.



Maybe we should thin the gaggle of gobblers that live in Ferndale.

Sorry, but I like wolves much more. Plus, you never have to worry about someone stealing an election in a wolf pack.
