1) Bryce. He is a prince of a man. His love, respect, and caring for dogs says it all.

2) Matt. A fucking Wolverine and tRump supporter...but has a sense and passion to do what is morally right.

I am vehemently opposed to the political views of TT, Honeyman and TC Talks. But I think we all somewhat agree on some social views.

We all have a pretty good sense of humor and if any of the three lived close to me, I could certainly see us hanging out and having a few beer's on occasion.

Of course, when they came to my house, they'd have to drink their beer from my collector edition Ronald Reagan mugs.

I've been around this board for over 15 years. Something they did a couple of times during my early years on here was something they called "Meeting of the Minds."

Everyone was invited to attend. Someone would make reservations at a bar or restaurant somewhere in Michigan and whoever attended would have a chance to meet the others.

I never got to attend one, but I believe they always had a good turnout.

There was one really obnoxious troll in those days. They would always misdirect him as to the location, in case he decided to show up.

Well, Matt and I have never really agreed on much, even when we were both Republicans. He and I were on different wings of the party. However, he has always been respectful. It was 13:years ago that we at Meeting of the Minds in Chelsea, but it was good conversation and food where we attended. Ironically, we were in their basement.

I am not a pure breed socialist like TT, but his "You be the Judge" threads are definitely legendary to this forum.

And I like the way Bryce takes care of the shelter dogs.

Matt, Bryce, Turkeytop, TC Talks, Audiophile and MCRF are among the most respectful and articulate people in these parts. We've had our disagreements over the years, but I can always count on them for an open and honest discussion in which we often discover we have more in common than not.

I had the opportunity to attend a few Meetings of the Minds and meet many of the aforementioned folks in person. It's a different experience when you can sit down with someone for a meal and really get to know them on a personal level. Amazingly, we never really discussed politics or ideologies at the lunches. It was mostly just gettinig to know each other and trade life stories. I always left feeling that we had forged valuable friendships that transcended our differing views. We know each other as people, and not just screen names on a monitor. A rare treat in the technological age.
