It's a dry heat - only 7% humidity.

The last time we were in Vegas, it was in August and the temps were about 110 every day. My wife wanted to shop in one of the stores, so I stayed outside and sat on a bench in the sun. It was hot, but not unbearably hot. It was more comfortable than a humid, 90 deg day here.

We just got back from Vegas. Spent last week there for my wife's birthday. It was at least 105 every day. We like to golf in the desert, and we played four rounds during the week. Yeah, it was hot, but it was our plan to get out of the casino and stay away from crowds. Although, the Strip was not busy at all on Monday thru Thursday. It seems to be hopping there only on weekends.

We were in Vegas for our 25th anniversary back in June 2017, and we made a day trip to Death Valley. Went to Furnace Creek and the Badwater basin. As we were driving out of Badwater, the outside temperature reading on our rental car said 126. Scary. Was seriously afraid for our health if our car had conked out while we were out there. You're a long way from civilization in Death Valley.

I'm not a gambler, I don't even play the lottery tickets. But I go to Vegas every three years to attend a convention with my Union. I sometimes take my wife along and she plays the slots while I'm attending my Union events.

We've always planned that some year we would stay for a few days after the convention, rent a car and do some sight seeing. This was to have been the year. But, of course, our convention had to be cancelled due to the virus.

Was 116 on Sunday near my old home NE of Sacramento. Humidity usually around 20% there in the summer. Between the smoke and wildfires, summers sucked.

Ovens are dry heat too.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

Huh? A gas oven flame is humid.
