Curious about this board's demographics

Just curious about the population on this board. How many of you have been directly involved in the industry, working for one or more of the TV or radio stations? This does not include suppliers like advertising firms or equipment suppliers, just folks who worked directly for the stations in the production and delivery of the on-air product. Could be technical, promotion, producing or on-air talent or some other direct involvement.
Could you guess what the ratio would be?

I just voted....no. I joined this place at a time when I was an avid radio listener......often hours a day.

Voted No. I worked in the construction trade all my life. I’m now retired and enjoying the retirement years with a great pension. I always loved radio and that’s why I’m on the Buzzboard.

I voted yes. Although it was many years ago, I participated in the "talent" end of radio for about five years.

Damn am I glad I got the hell out!

Voted No. But I've always been a radio enthusiast.

Like my friend Lucky, I'm retired and enjoying life on a nice pension from my Union.

I've been on the air, selling time or running stations since 1982.

Professionally from 1987 until 2005, when radio caved in on itself.

I have worked in and been involved in communications and radio since I was a 14 year old kid in 1966. Still plugging away on the radio every day. Being on the air is the 2nd most enjoyable thing I've ever done. I will let your imagination decide what the 1st most enjoyable thing might be.

Yes. Started professionally in ‘85. Left the biz in 2008 to raise a family full time. New career in 2016. Miss the good radio stuff. Don’t miss the drama, arrogance and crap.

Radio: On air, from the height of Yacht Rock in late 70's, until rap/hip-hop & auditorium testing took the 'gut' & my heart out of music programming in the early 90's.

A fan - since long before becoming a has-been, & ever since.

High school radio 1973-74. College radio 1974-76. On air at commercial stations 1977-1987. Trade publication 1998-1993. Traffic reporter (not employed by a specific station)1991-1998. Loved what I did, want no part of it now.

Closest I ever got to broadcasting was when we lived in a small town with only one radio station. An AM.

They used to call on me to participate in their election night coverage, as part of a "Panel of Experts" :lol .

I was the voice of the left. A pretty lonely voice up in that part of the country.
