Michigan Radio & TV Buzzboard

Anyone who has been around this board as long as I have will probably remember a user who went by the name listenbuddy. He was a real troll and a nuisance. I don't know if he got kicked off or if he just left.

Do any of you think he might be back here now?

I think I know his name and the station he worked at.

He is on here, but sticks to the Northern Michigan forum.

Someone outed him once and revealed his real name.

A definite no no. I believe MW said that that would be a reason for terminating an account. I admit that I have been tempted, but I always resist that temptation, as I realize that it is a two way street. I hope others also resist this temptation. If it happens to me, I will ask MW to terminate the offender's account immediately. Look what happened with H***.

This is a much gentler place than it used to be...

I know exactly who it was and have no idea if he is still employed in broadcast radio or not.

I have no reason to believe he's actively participating on this site. His writing style was very discernible.

Was just reflecting on the flame wars involving--and the eventual outing of--listenbuddy. Did a quick search to see if that username is still active, and this thread popped up.

The way it all ended on the Buzzboard for listenbuddy had to be the absolute rock bottom point for this forum. As I recall, listenbuddy, patsy, and perhaps other accounts were terminated. I continue to rejoice in their absence....

I used to enjoy the debates that went on between Bob and Rage. Bob was conservative and Rage was ---- Rage. They went on for hours or days, in real time. One had to be constantly refreshing the scree to keep up to it.

I think Listenbuddy had more than one incarnation. There were a couple subsequent posters who used very similar writing style and expressed like perspectives. They also disappeared in a matter of time, whether their accounts were removed or they just got bored and moved on.

I believe he is back here, and active.
