Nope, and I dislike Musk and am enjoying his financial implosion.
It's a brilliant car. The factory, built in 1/3 the time of a domestic retooling, stunned my dad (who was in the biz). Tesla as a company is quite impressive, give it's age and who they compete with.
Critics take a shot at tech that is brand new, and it's only issue is related to user error, not design failures. If you consider how few moving parts a Tesla has, and most of it's trouble can be fix with software upgrades, it's a great value.
Sandy really shows the difference between Tesla and a respected domestic EV.

The Tesla factory IS A RETOOLING of the old NUMMI plant in Fremont.

It really depends on how much they needed to do in there. It may have been less than you think.

Nope, and no rear axel either. Four independent motors with 4 wheel steering.

Right. If memory serves all EVs use one motor per wheel. Four wheel drive means four motors. Two motors on the rear wheels for normal two wheel drive. Tesla did set the standard for this.

This is
not correct. EVs use all sorts of configurations. Some use a single drive motor for the rear axle, driving both rear wheels and then either a single motor driving both front wheels or dual motor (one for each wheel). Some can have three motors (two in the rear, one in the front), or they can have one motor per wheel.
TESLA has talked about the CT in four different configurations - a single motor RWD, a dual motor 4WD, a tri-motor AWD and a four-motor AWD. Because there's no production units rolling the streets yet, we really don't know what's going to be on the roadways, despite what they're touting.

Elsewhere on the EV front - sales for the Mustang Mach-E and Dodge Hornet are proving disastrous.
(Note - the Dodge Hornet is a PHEV as opposed to pure electric.)
There is now an over 500 (!!!) day supply of the Dodge Hornet available when comparing available inventory to annualized sales data over the past 45 days.
Meanwhile, Mach-E inventory figures are approaching 365 days' supply on hand.
With regard to ICE vehicles, the buying public evidently has grown very tired of Dodge's muscle cars, which have not received much of a refresh in a very long time.
I also had no idea the very stale (and mafia-esque looking) Chrysler 300 was still in production. There is nearly a two year supply of those on dealer lots!

All three are dead or dying. The 300!has stopped production. The Charger and Challenger will be dead after this year. They are being replaced with EVs. The Charger will go back to a 2 door the way it is intended
