The bit doesn't work past your first post in the thread.

I see Psaki was asked if the Biden administration condoned or condemned the violence. She said Biden had no official comment since he didn't watch the Oscars.

OF COURSE he doesn't have a comment. Will Smith isn't white.
He has PTSD from his past run-in with "Corn Pop".

You mean my response to Bryce's speculation about what might happen if he decked some guy in Kroger?

What he should have done is say 'You dissed my wife. See me out back later, and we will discuss it'. Then he can do more than just a face slap, and maybe even get away with it.

Do nothing public where he can be caught. Do it all in a back alley.

Seems this may be a win for Rock. He has had to add a second show in Detroit. Many think simply because of the Oscar kerfuffle. He should send Smith a check.

It was probably scripted. Will give both of their careers a much needed boost.

April Fools came early, and keeps on a-rollin'... "Slap heard 'round the world" is what some of these network bobble-heads are scripted to call it.

Out loud.

Media darling / media villain - either way they are portrayed, when one of them farts loudly, the media inflates and eats, then echos it.

ABC prolly gets a nickle or more every time someone replays TBD.

What's the expiration date of anything related to this world-shakin' event no longer being Breaking News (tm)?

I agree with Bryce.

As for the Academy, I don't believe them for a split second when two full days after the incident, they stated for the first time that Smith was asked to leave the theater. They are full of shit.

The people who sit on the board of the Academy are probably a bunch of deviants. This is the same organization that has given awards to Harvey Weinstein and Roman Polanski after their despicable behavior became well publicized.

Chris Rock's joke was inappropriate, but it is unclear if he was aware of Jada's medical condition. Looked to me as if she still had plenty of strands of hair (albeit cut very short). Smith's reaction was too extreme, not to mention bizarre (he smiled at the joke initially).

Will and Jada are both weird. Typical Hollywood loons.

Michael Moore still sits on the academy board.

The thing I am looking at in this situation is that we live in a society where you always have to be the hardest bad ass in the room. Always gotta be top dog. The best. The winner. Will Smith gets teased for years about being soft and shit like that. He gets teased and called a beta cuck because his wife fooled around on him AND he cried about it. So the guy gets up (and I have thoughts on that, too) and shows Chris Rock that he is THE ultimate alpha male and gets violent, and he is still in the wrong. And this is coming from fans of the guy who told his supporters he would pay for the legal fees of the people who beat someone up. Some days I just scratch my head.

I still can't believe I live in a world where WILL SMITH of all people gets violent and then cusses like that. The shit I never thought I would see.

I agree with you there.

By resigning from the academy, Mr. Smith loses film pre-screening privileges and awards show voting rights. Big whoop.

I don't think he should lose the award he just won; that should've been stripped from him before the winner was announced. However, I do think he should be ineligible from being nominated for future awards for at least the next five years.
