Hard times is the story of my life.
This was one of ten cans a guy gave to me. He was leaving to go back home. Actually, he was on his way to the dumpster with them when he saw me and asked me if I wanted them. I never say no to free beer.

Wow, that's a new one on me. I've spent a fair amount of time in Germany and have never came across that particular brew.
How about a review?
We were fortunate to partake in both the Augustus Dopplebock, and Riegele's Privat Festival brews - there were 12 of each available to us - over the holidays. Not that the Privat was bad, but if effort is involved in a return, only Augustus will be invited back (and we will
definitely find a way to make that happen!)
Very smooth, with absolutely no fine burnt malty grit of many dopples (al a Celebrator, Salvator, or even Korbinian - all of which I like); hops on the subtle side, little to no bitter.
Slight berry hint (I got none of the 'clove / banana / citrus'
NOTES people like to tout in a weizen), subtle sweetness, very mild carbonation, good with or without the noticeable sediment on the bottom of the bottle. All of this smooth betrays the fact it's 8% abv... it's a sipper for sure.
Or, as TT may say - it's beer; it' good.

v.091
There's a pot of meaty chili on the range.
This should pair just fine with that.

Bells Light Hearted Ale
That it is!
Rolled out nation-wide (US) last month, I'm guessing Light-Hearted is around to provide beer like Founder's All Day IPA with some competition. It's lower than ADIPA in carbs and ABV, and tastes much better to me. At $10-11 US a six, tho, LHA is much higher in price.
I'm hoping Bell's trims pricing in the future...

There doesn’t appear to be a hint at all... I just see beer...

You'r right. It isn't very fair. It's a draft beer, so I couldn't partly reveal the label or anything. It's a very common brand. Nothing exotic.

Heineken
No. Even Heineken is more exotic than this one. The brand name does not appear anywhere in the picture.
