Hilarious House Of Frightenstein
Hilarious House Of Frightenstein
Does anyone remember seeing The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein on Detroit TV? It might have been on Old 62 but I’m not sure? I saw it on YouTube and it seemed cute, a product of its time kind of like The Groovie Ghoulies.
Re: Hilarious House Of Frightenstein
The Saturday morning show was called "Groovie Goolies" from September 1970 till September 1972. The Daddy DewDrop 1971 song "Chick-A-Boom" (Richard Monda) had to change the lyrics on the cartoon!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-upR4C3 ... palomar250

It went into syndication in the US around 1973 or 1974. Don't know when or if it appeared in the Detroit / Windsor area (then-WGPR didn't sign on until 1975). I wouldn't be surprised if the old CKLW-TV 9 had aired it, especially as Frightenstein is Cancon (produced by CHCH-TV in Hamilton).

Complete RCA Victor album from 1970 which is also available on Apple iTunes. The Daddy DewDrop 1971 album is missing from Apple iTunes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYdTgvo ... lies-Topic

YTV (the Canadian equivalent of Nickelodeon) also reran it in the network's early years.
