RadioLand FM app

The technical side of broadcasting. Think IBOC is a sham? Talk about it here! How about HDTV? Post DX reports here as well.

Is that some kind of a streaming ap, or is it just an informational source?

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

At this time it sounds like it simply predicts signal strength for each available FM radio station in a chosen geographic location. I read that Longley Rice maps are used for the calculations. I wonder if the Canadian and U.S. calculations are both accurate. I also would like to know if co-channel interference is mentioned. (ex. in the village of Watford, ON you tune to 102.3 FM and hear a station from both London and Port Huron just by moving over a few feet.

World Radio Map is the one with audio links for AM / FM / DAB. At last check London, England had roughly 150 radio stations.

It sounds like it's exactly what I need. I'm not interested in streaming.

I would love to see one for AM, maybe they can't factor in the stations with directional antennas ???
I found a radio travel guide where all the AM stations were represented with a circle based on power only.

“AM Search” for AM. It’s not as feature-packed as Radioland, but does the job pretty well. It even tells me which station uses the towers I see in the distance when I travel.
